You’ve built the business to a significant level, and things are reasonably stable. Well done. Next question: what does the next level look like? Answer:

In some ways it’s harder to get to the next step when you’ve already got a well-established business. You’ve got to be prepared to look critically at what you’ve got and invest in thinking about how much better it could be. There’s an ancient Buddhist saying that’s apt here: “when I let go of who I am, I become who I might be."

In designing the programme for owners at this level, we’ve had extensive input from people who’ve been involved as members in programmes like this over many years. We’ve designed the structure to allow for more flexibility, more intensity, and more similarity of issues arising from business size and scale.

Advanced Leadership Programme

Step 1: NBCoach Foundation Day to identify what you want from your life and business

• Goal Planning Session with partner (to encourage partners/spouses to attend, their attendance is free of charge). This is an opportunity to have conversations about what you’re trying to achieve together, the kind of lives you want to lead and the things that are truly important to you.
• Business Growth session focused on long term goals and the strategies and targets you have to achieve in order to reach your goal. We encourage people to really stretch in this session, because our experience is that people achieve their goals much more quickly than they thought they would.
• We encourage members to do this each year to re-focus on the big picture.

Step 2: NBCoach Workshop Days to give you the space and stimulation to plan for a bright future 

• A half day workshop every 6 weeks with other owners of larger businesses where you’ll get the tools you need to get your life and business to the next level – and the accountability structure to stay on track with your goals.
• Every second session (ie every 3 months), there is an extended facilitated planning workshop in which we review progress against the big goals. This gives you time and space to think, uninterrupted, about the major issues and opportunities you face. This is breakthrough time.
• Learn from the experiences and successes of other business owners at a similar level to you. End the isolation that most owners of small businesses feel.
• Mix of business and personal development topics that are both practical and challenging. Some will be familiar, others will be new. The key to getting the value is to be open to new ways of looking at your business and yourself.

The theme of the programme is breakthrough. You will achieve better results, while at the same time reducing your direct personal effort. We’ll help you identify and implement changes in your:

• role: what it means to "crown the company king"
• leadership effectiveness
• people skills
• planning and implementation systems
• innovation process
• growth strategy
• "value realisation" strategies for the long term

All days are open to current members to attend as often as they like.

Step 3: NBCoach Support System to keep you on track

• Working Group meeting every 2 weeks.
• "Voice of Experience" - Quarterly interviews with experts in their field.
• Quick Takes - audio summaries of the Coaching module content.
• ThinkTimes - regular communication (newsletters, articles, blog, etc).
• Unlimited coaching calls with Dr Mike Ashby as required.

Step 4: NBCoach Advanced Support (upgrade options) to help you get there faster

• Quarterly review meeting with Dr Mike Ashby.
• Monthly meeting with 1:1 coach to provide guidance on implementation.
